A study has found that 86% of estate agents are feeling the strain at work, placing them in the top spot for work-related stress. 43% of them went as far as to say they were ‘very stressed’.
The findings come from the Boundless Happiness survey, which quizzed UK professionals on their happiness levels at work and at home.
Changing property marketplace
Broadcasters and police officers came next down the list, with 80% of broadcasters and 67% of police officers reporting stressful working lives.
Boundless Director Ian Holmes-Lewis said: “It’s not surprising that estate agents, whose work revolves around high value assets, tough targets and a changing marketplace, feel the pressure.”
While uncertainty in the market means taxing times for agents, advances in technology could ease pressure and create new revenue streams. That’s one of the reasons we created Tili – a digital home move assistant that helps agents to keep their customers happy while earning extra revenue.
Tili turns days of home-move admin into minutes. It lets customers organise their energy, choose broadband and home entertainment packages and pass on their new address to the council and water authority. Agencies who partner with Tili will earn revenue when their customers use it.
